Well that didn't go as planned

One of the things I quickly learned when we started TTWD was that given enough time and effort hard limits become soft limits and soft limits fall away.  At least that seems to be how it works for me.

For a man of few words, during playtime Musicman turns into a chatty Cathy.  If it's not a running commentary on what's happening at that moment, it's a narrative on some of his wants that currently fall into my limits category.

The man could seriously be an erotica writer if he wanted too.  I admit the man and his sexy stories have made me cum without him ever touching me.  He's either very calculating or it's just his way of getting his fantasies fulfilled.  Either way it's working, my limits are changing.

Since things have been going well I had the crazy idea to offer something that I've never done.  Something that previously had been a very hard limit for me.  And, I stupidly did not inform him of my intentions.  I thought it would be fun to surprise him.

He had just gotten into the shower.  I decided to join him, not something I usually do cause at our age a broken hip or something equally as bad is totally possible.  I really thought that since I've recently had to add safety equipment, like grab bars, to our shower it would be ok.

At first things went quite well. I was pampering him.  Washing his hair, and taking my time to thoroughly wash, rinse and massage him.  I was literally seconds from making my move and offering something he's been talking about for years.

Unfortunately, it was not meant to be.  A misstep on his part and everything came crashing down as he fell.  He wasn't hurt, though wasn't too happy with me either.

We did go on to have some lovely playtime with the flogger, but I still haven't told him what I was going to do.  I was mortified with what happened and am way too embarrassed to say anything then or now.

It's still on my mind. I think that since I made the decision to do it I now want to follow through and do it for him.  Just gotta figure out how to get over my mortification and embarrassment and tell him.

  1. Well I am sorry things didn't go as originally planed. Kudos to you for deciding it is still going to happen then. I have learned since starting ttwd to never say never (though there are still a few things I can't fathom ever wanting to experience- but who knows?). I wasn't a prude before D/s but....well let's just say my horizons have been expanded and I suspect they will continue to expand.

Good luck the next time you attempt your plan!

    1. This particular thing definitely falls into the category of things I can't fathom wanting to experience, or at least it did. Not sure what happened to change my mind, guess my horizons are expanding too 😊

  2. I'm glad you guys weren't seriously hurt! I've fallen in the shower all by my lonesome and have really hurt myself. I hope you get a chance to offer him your special surprise!

    1. I've not fallen in the shower, but I have had 3 bad falls resulting in serious injuries in the last decade. That has resulted in a terrible fear of falling for me. I'm sure it will happen, I'm just not sure when.

  3. Hi Faerie,

I'm sorry things didn't work out as planned and so glad neither of you were seriously hurt. Good on you for wanting to try again. It's funny how limits change over time. As Willie said, never say never.

    Hugs

    1. This is a great example of never say never, I truly never thought this would come off my hard limits list. So much so that Musicman hasn't mentioned it in quite some time. I think he gave up trying to convince me to try it.

    1. Thanks, I think I'm going to need all the luck I can get. I'm still considering how and when I'm going to bring it up. Probably soon cause I'm starting to fixate on it.

    1. I did wonder if anyone was gonna ask what it was, lol. It's been such a hard limit for me for so long that I've surprised myself by this decision. If/when it happens I'm sure I'll have plenty to process. I do that by writing here 😉

  6. Maybe you could tell him as you kiss a few of his sore spots. You never know what he might have bumped. I understand your hesitation, but I do hope you'll share it with him ... and maybe us.

    1. That's a good idea, to bad I didn't think of it at the time. At some point I'll figure out how to bring it up and if it happens I'm sure I'll write about it.

  7. Hi Faerie, I hope you can find the courage to try again. If unsuccessful try, try, try again. Then let us all know what it was, curiosity kills the cat ya know.
    Good luck!

  8. I'm pretty sure I'll find the courage to try again. Once I make up my mind about something I'm kinda like a dog with a bone, lol. When it happens I'm sure I'll be here disecting and sorting through everything.

  9. I had such a giggle over your blog today -- I read it to my Sir Steve who had a "domly" giggle ..... and said " just tell him" ... giggled some more -- then added "email him" ...

I am going to (if you don't mind) link my blog to yours so I can come back and read more !

    1. I'm happy to have you visit anytime morningstar. I read your blog most days, I've just not been great at leaving comments since I started blogging again. I'm glad you and your Sir Steve found humor in the post. While it wasn't funny at the time, I do find it kinda funny now.
