TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday. This week has been horrible. Would anyone like a teenage boy?  At this point I would pay someone to take him.

The weather here today is beautiful, but that is going to change. It is supposed to be cold and rainy for the weekend. Maybe the boy child will find somewhere to go.

If we have an empty house I have a better chance of this happening.

Ahh, stress relief!!!!

I'll want to do this.

Maybe he will let me do this.

Or we could do this.

Or maybe this.

Oh to be young and flexible again.

Wish me luck!!

    1. Emi,

LOL, NO WAY, I already survived a teenage girl, mine just turned 22 this month.

Good luck to both of us :)

  2. I don't think one can sell them...It's a buyers market-- kind of like trying to get rid of a timeshare.

Maybe you can get him to go play in the rain long enough for some peace and quiet. Or not so quiet.
    Good luck.

I said I would pay THEM to take him. I already know no one will buy him, lol. Just wait, your time is coming. Heeheeeheee!!!! By then I'll have an empty nest.

    2. Tease lol. Having been through teen girls, I have this not-so-secret hope that boys will be just a teensy bit easier...

  3. Having teens around the house can certainly curtail your playtime. Let's hope the boychild finds somewhere to go and you can do some of the things you showed in the pictures.

  4. Hmmm... what should I do first? Do a strip tease for my hubby in the living room? Lay all our spanking implement out and roll around on them? Shower together? Make love in the middle of the living room or on the dinning room table? Should I feel guilty all my friends can't enjoy an empty nest like I can? Or should I just be spanked for taunting?

Hope you can find some time for yourselves!

    Hugs,
    PK

    1. Brat!!!! I vote spanked for taunting, lol.

So, friend, I think I heard you say you want a teenage boy, lol.

  5. I agree, PK needs a spanking for taunting. I have three teenagers and two pre-teens. There attitudes alone can make me crazy. But not having time alone with my husband is almost too much stress and disappointment.
Empty nest sounds good though I will probably miss them. But they could visit

    1. 5 kids? God bless you. I have 2 because I didn't want 3, lol. I'm thinking time alone is a much bigger challenge for you then it is for me :)

    1. I have this syndrome, it's called a 20 year old brain stuck in the body of a 47 yeard old, lol. Ehh, it's good to have goals :)

    2. I know, right?! Me, too! Oh, I make a good effort, but I sound like a bowl of rice krispies! I'm fairly limber, but - ya know - with age comes the dreaded charlie-horses, lol.

  7. Plugging my ears!! I am so afraid for the teenage years...and for some reason this post and these comments are not making me feel better:) Sure do hope you get to enjoy some of those other activities this weekend!

    1. Be afraid, be very, very afraid, lol. My oldest just turned 22 this month and I'm ready to be a little less of a hands on mom :)

    1. I thought my daughter would be the more difficult one when it came to the teenage years. I've learned boys are just as difficult, just in a different way.

    2. Actually, I really can't complain about my daughter. She's pretty awesome I must say. People are always telling me what a great kid she is, and I agree. Not that we don't butt heads sometimes, but that's all part of them preparing for adulthood. And I'll get to find out about boys as teens in a few years too, since my younger one is a boy. I hope you're having a good weekend Faerie! :)

    3. It's going great so far :)

My kids are very strong, independent, street savvy kids. That's a great thing, except when they decide they are too old to listen to their old mom, lol. I love'em anyway.

  11. I'd say toddlers and preschoolers curtail those type of activities even more- especially when there's a thunderstorm and they crawl into bed with you. (which is every night in the spring, it seems.)

Do you miss potty training? ;)

    Best of luck to you!

    1. You might not say that if you had a teenager in the house :)

Potty training? Barely remember it, lol. It's weeks like this that Musicman likes to remind me of, little kids little problems, big kids big problems.

Toddlers and prescoolers can always be carried back to their own beds, we spent some time doing that in the past, lol.

  12. Maybe our boys are friends and we just dont know it cause that is the same attitude I'm going to have to deal with all weekend. I wish you luck but please hide the garden shovel from me before I do the unthinkable to said boys lolololol.

    1. Heaven help us both, my son definitely doesn't need any more friends with attitude, lol.

I have hidden the shovel, your boys can thank me later :)

  13. I like empty nest, but my daughter lives a half a mile a way. She's 28, so I've told her that now that we are not used to her walking in, she probably doesn't want to. I'm referring to sex, and that's all it takes for her. She says she likes to think we don't have sex. LOL - Hope your weekend is great, God Bless You, Belle L

    1. LOL, she doesn't like to think you have sex! Has she stopped to consider how she got here?

Our daughter is 22 and I doubt she thinks about it either, lol.

I only have 1 1/2 years left till the empty nest, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, lol.

    1. Sadly I am not a gymnast and never was :( I did however take yoga for several years and used to be able to bend that way. The operative word there would be "used to be able to." I'm not quite that flexible now, but it's good to have something to aim for, lol.

  17. I read your comment on Kitty's blog about having a fight with your, MIL, kicking her out of the house, and then, having to drive her home. I thought that was so funny. I wish I could have seen how that whole thing played out. It sounds like a scene from a sitcom.
Hope you got your stress relief over the weekend.

  18. Welcome Kiki, my life has more then it's fair share of sitcom moments I'm afraid, lol.

Thanks for the good wishes :)
