In The Land of Fae...

...is where I wish I could say I've been.

Unfortunately... no such luck.

Within a day of my last post my internet connection went out. Life, being what it is, prevented me from remedying the situation until 2 days ago. During the last 2 months(seriously can't believe time passed that quickly), days on end went by without me being able to tune in and turn on. On the rare occasion I could get online, it was mere minutes until I got tossed off again. So frustrating, yet, very liberating.

So...here's what's been going on in my world:

My last post got Chrossed. It garnered over 6,000 hits alone. That kind of freaked me out a bit as I'm not used to that. I think of this place as a small little blog, not one that gets that many hits per post, for sure. It also made me wonder how he found me. I rarely ever even remember to tag my posts.

Warm weather has finally arrived. I tan easily and time offline has been spent in the sun making me dark as a nut. Musicman continues to seek shelter in the shade cause he's a burn and peel kinda guy.

I've been working crazy amounts of hours, almost twice what I usually work. The company I work for is extremely generous with vacation hours. I don't get any, cause I'm just a sub, but that means they need me more than ever right now. There has been some talk that they are going to need another full time person soon and many of my coworkers are lobbying hard for it to be me. I do love my job and while I'm not lobbying for it, if it were offered, I would take it.

The kids are all still here. I've come to accept the fact that none of them are leaving any time soon. Not an easy place for me to get to, cause that means giving up on my dreams, for now. They are all working, though vastly different hours from each other and from Musicman and myself. That makes for a very busy household and very little privacy.

Our Grandbaby is 10 months old. She's been walking for about a month, and working very hard to learn to climb. She's got an entire smile full of teeth and knows about a half dozen words, including, much to his delight, "Grandpa".  He's been coaching her since the day she was born.  My house is once again "baby proofed". At almost 50 years old, I don't find that all so easy, but it is what it is and I'm learning to adapt.

I must admit, I find Musicman as a Grandpa to be very sexy. That little girl has him so tightly wrapped around her little finger it isn't even funny, but it makes me grin like an idiot none the less. She has become one of the great joys in my life and watching her with Musicman...well, that's just indescribable joy for me.

One would think, given all that I have laid out above, that there isn't much in the way of D/s or kink going on here. If you thought that, you would be wrong. Things have been good. I just need to get back into the swing of writing and sharing again. When I knew it wasn't possible, it was easy to forget how to do it. That doesn't necessarily mean it was good for me.

I hope to do that soon, cause while I've coped with my enforced absence, maybe even benefited from it, I've definitely missed interacting with the likeminded individuals that make up this lovely community. In short, I've missed ya'll.

I've also missed posting my faerie's. It's so hard to pick just one, they're all so beautiful.

Observe the wonders around you as they occur to you.

  1. Hey Faerie...so happy to hear things are going well for you in that very busy household. ;) I ran across some faeries on Facebook the other day that reminded me of you...will see if I can find and send them.

    Ooh...sexy grandpa...I can just imagine. ;)

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. Hi Cat, I would love to see the faerie pics, I follow several faerie pages on FB myself and have become addicted to them on Pinterest. Watching Musicman with our Grandbaby is so satisfying, he just radiates joy and love when he is with her.

  2. Well I am glad that your absence from Blogland wasn't due to anything worse than a bad internet connection! Welcome back :-)

    1. Thanks for the welcome River Wild. I too am glad it wasn't anything more than an absent internet that kept me away.

  3. I really do love seeing you here. I've missed you! I'm glad your life is running fairly smoothly even with all the work and all the people around. So happy you are finding time for kink anyway. And I really envy you the grand baby!

    1. Thanks PK, I've missed being able to keep up with everyone and interacting with them all. Vanilla friends are nice, but it is not the same as blogland, it felt like I was hiding a part of myself. While I wasn't and still am not happy with the circumstances of my Granddaughter's birth, I wouldn't give her up for anything in the world. My philosophy is, being a Grandma means I never have to tell her no, and that's really nice.

  4. Good to see you here. Not sure how Chross finds his posts, but if you're blog is indexed by search engines it's retrieval via Google.

    1. Thanks DelFonte, it's nice to be back :) I am probably wrong, but I thought google wouldn't find me since I don't tag my posts. Of course, I never really understood why I was supposed to tag posts anyway, which is probably why I rarely remember to do it.

  5. I have so missed seeing your fairy pictures. So beautiful. Glad you are okay and loved hearing about your little grand-daughter as we have a ten month old grandson. However, he only has two teeth so far, and crawls everywhere - no walking except when holding a hand very firmly as he wobbles! Just wish I were your age - Sigh

Glad life is still 'interesting'. Know just what you mean about busy noisy households.

    Hugs

    1. I have missed posting my pics so much. I have quite a collection of them on Pinterest and love browsing them for just the right one for each post.
Of course, I'm a very proud Grandma, but I do think our Grand daughter is a little advanced for her age. I think, maybe, we should tell her she is just a baby and shouldn't be doing these things so early, but, what fun would that be. Oh, I could go on and on about her, she is my first Grandchild and a delight, when I'm not trying to hike my old butt over a baby gate that is, lol.

  8. Welcome back Fearie, it's great to see you:) I haven't posted in ages due to my computer dying on me. Still haven't replaced it yet and am using a tablet in the meantime and it's too difficult to write posts on.

    1. Technology is great...when it works, lol. At first, not having internet was very frustrating, but it wasn't a priority and I found that kind of liberating, until I wanted to post something and couldn't. Oh well, such is life :)

    1. It's good to be back. I've missed reading and visiting with all my friends :) I'm finding living with a baby a lot harder to do than when I was younger. Hiking over and around baby proofed doorways and such, isn't as easy as it used to be.

  10. Glad you're back. Time goes by so quickly I didn't realize it had been two months since you posted.
I've been chrossed twice and I can't believe how the numbers expand and do it for days after the actual posting. Each time Minelle had to call and tell me, I am so oblivious and she is my 'watchdog'. lol
Not surprised that little grandbaby has wrapped MM around his finger. He seems to be a 'sucker' for his girls. So nice to see and hear.
Happy that things seem to be going well and I hope you get the job if that is what you want.
Come back and visit soon, we've missed you.

    1. I briefly saw you last post about it, it was shortly after it happened to me. Unfortunately, commenting was beyond my internet connection abilities or I would have suggested that. I thought I had been hacked when I first saw my stats, then I checked my sources and realized what had happened. It really did freak me out a bit. All those people reading little ole me? How did that happen?

I'm not surprised about Musicman and the baby either. I knew he would be a wonderful Grandpa. Every little girl's dream come true. I think it is awesome and take great delight in just observing them together.

  11. I hear you on the crowded household!! Tell me how you find time to be a bit more adventurous! Our house is small and sound travels!
Glad you guys are doing great!
Isn't it lovely to see our men charmed by the wee ones?

    1. Our home is not all that large either and the bedrooms are centered together. A huge challenge to find time to play. We are getting better about taking advantage of the unexpected empty home.

    1. Chrossed is a blog, apparently a large and influential blog. He does a weekly round up of apparently, all kinds of spanking blogs. I had heard of it before, and vaguely understood what it meant. But honestly, I never thought that would happen to me, or my blog. I really thought my account had been hacked because of the HUGE jump in my stats.
